Old Barn

I’m always torn between making a picture grayscale or leaving it in color, especially pictures of things from the past. Grayscale adds to the vintage feeling as we often think of the past in black and white. Color, in all its vibrancy, makes you feel like you can reach out and touch whatever is in the picture.

In the picture above, the beauty of the greenery against the washed out boards and the tin on the roof has a beauty all its own. In the picture below, all I can see is kids playing in the hay loft and chickens pecking at the ground.
