Full Sturgeon Moon

According to farmersalmanac.com, this is the Full Sturgeon Moon, named by the Native American fishing tribes. The sturgeon is a large fish of the Great Lakes and other large lakes and was caught more easily during this month. Some tribes also called it the Full Red Moon because, as it rises, it appears reddish. It was also called the Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon.
